North America represents approximately one third of divisional revenue and is entering a strategic transformation phase requiring strong regional leadership.

To lead and transform regional operations across North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) as the senior General Manager on the ground. This role serves as the critical bridge between the three country organizations and group headquarters, driving organizational transformation, service excellence, and sustainable growth. Together with the Regional CFO and Regional HR, this position forms the senior management team for the region. The role is designed as a developmental opportunity with succession potential for broader divisional leadership.
Regional Leadership & Transformation
Act as the on-the-ground General Manager for North America, based in Atlanta
Lead the region together with the Regional CFO, forming the senior management team alongside Regional HR
Lead the execution of strategic transformation initiatives across all three countries
Cascade group guidelines and standards into operational reality across 170-190 employees
Serve as primary regional interface between Country Managers (USA, Canada, Mexico) and divisional leadership
Step in operationally when Country Managers are unavailable or when critical situations require direct intervention
Organizational Development & Service Excellence
Drive the transformation of service organizations across the region – the highest priority
Build organizational capability and confidence to manage change in a complex, multi-country setup
Develop regional talent pipeline and succession planning in collaboration with HR
Foster cultural cohesion and alignment across diverse markets
Direct oversight of regional HR function (HR reports into this role)
Business Performance & Execution
Oversee business performance of North American operations (approximately one third of division revenue)
Monitor and drive key operational KPIs: service quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, profitability
Identify and implement cross-country improvement opportunities and best practices
Ensure consistent execution of commercial priorities while adapting to local market needs
Internal & External Interface
Represent North America in global divisional leadership forums
Collaborate closely with Regional CFO and functional leaders
Maintain strong communication and reporting to Commercial Director International Markets and group headquarters
Travel extensively across the region to stay close to operations
Essential Experience
Minimum 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial B2B environments (machinery, capital goods, or equipment preferred)
Proven track record as a General Manager with P&L responsibility and organizational transformation experience
Strong service organization background – experience building, scaling, or transforming service operations is critical
Experience managing US-based organizations – understanding of North American business culture and operational dynamics
Multi-country leadership experience – ideally across culturally diverse markets
Demonstrated ability to drive change with confidence, even in unfamiliar or complex situations
Education & Languages
University degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Business Administration
Fluent English (business level, mandatory)
Italian language skills strongly preferred – facilitates alignment with European headquarters
Additional European languages are an asset
