Purpose of job

Lead the HR workstream of the post-merger integration on the ground in Frankfurt. Operating independently and reporting into the UK-based Group Head of HR, you will guide the merged organisation through all people-related aspects of the integration – from employment law and restructuring to compensation harmonisation and change management.

  • Operate independently on the ground in Frankfurt, closely embedded in the business

  • Advise on German employment law, restructuring and potential exits

  • Prepare for and manage the potential establishment of a works council, including building constructive relationships

  • Support the harmonisation of compensation and benefits, including readiness for the EU Pay Transparency Directive

  • Drive change management, employee relations and retention of key talent

  • Act as trusted advisor towards US and UK stakeholders, translating German legal and cultural requirements into pragmatic solutions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HR post-merger integration within financial services, ideally asset management

  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and works council matters

  • Comp & Ben expertise, familiarity with the EU Pay Transparency Directive

  • Experienced in international, Anglo-American corporate environments

  • High resilience, comfort with ambiguity, and a solutions-oriented approach to expectation management

  • Relationship-driven personality: able to influence without confrontation and to keep teams together

  • Fluent German and English

Benefits

  • High-impact mandate with genuine shaping power at the centre of a major integration

  • Direct exposure to international senior stakeholders (US/UK)

  • 12–18 months engagement, full-time initially with potential phase-down

  • Frankfurt city location
