Purpose of job

The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and high data quality within the Finance & Control function. It contributes to the delivery of IFRS-based reporting, statutory financial statements, and the ongoing development of reporting and data management processes. The position also supports automation, efficiency, and compliance initiatives, while enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of financial reporting tools and support their ongoing development, ensuring data integrity and consistency

  • Prepare and deliver IFRS group financial reporting as well as statutory financial statements

  • Drive data management, automation, and reporting enhancement initiatives within Finance & Control.

  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

  • Support new product initiatives, system integrations, and related accounting processes

  • Work closely with IT, regulatory reporting teams, and senior management across the EMEA region

  • Contribute to international projects and initiatives involving business intelligence and advanced reporting tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are considered an advantage

  • Extensive experience gained within international financial institutions or consultancy environments

  • Strong expertise in IFRS; knowledge of HGB is considered an advantage

  • Advanced analytical and IT skills, particularly in Excel and Power BI; experience with data management or automation tools is beneficial

  • Proven ability to manage and interpret financial data with a high degree of accuracy and structure

  • Business-fluent proficiency in German and English

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
