The position is responsible for leading regulatory and data-driven change initiatives within the Finance function. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the Finance IT and Data landscape while managing the implementation of regulatory requirements under ECB supervision. The Director acts as a bridge between Finance, Data, and Technology, driving process optimization and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Oversee the design and delivery of regulatory and legal change projects within the Finance organization
Support the Head of Finance Change in maintaining a stable and efficient Finance IT and Data infrastructure
Manage the annual Finance book of work and coordinate initiatives across multiple stakeholders
Design business solutions addressing current and future regulatory requirements, data flows, and system architecture
Be responsible for key regulatory platforms (e.g., BAIS, SUADE, FIS BSM) and act as primary point of contact for software providers and internal stakeholders
Lead the modernization and automation of Finance processes, including initiatives using Power BI and Power Automate
Contribute to the redesign of the data warehouse environment in alignment with BIRD and IREF standards
Oversee the implementation of Finance data governance principles as BCBS239 Data Steward
Collaborate closely with auditors, regulators, and internal teams to ensure transparency and compliance
Guide a small, high-performing team of internal and external experts, fostering excellence and accountability
University degree required in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline)
Extensive professional experience in Finance Change, Regulatory Reporting, or Data Management within the banking sector
Previous experience in business or IT advisory, either within a consulting firm or in an internal department
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in project delivery and change management
Deep understanding of ECB requirements, regulatory reporting (CoRep, FinRep, statistical reporting), and data governance
Expertise in finance systems and architecture, particularly BAIS and data models such as ELIDA and BIRD
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex topics to diverse stakeholders
Fluent in English; German is a plus
