Purpose of job

This position oversees financial performance management and reporting for the lending business, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting and internal control standards. The role focuses on financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis, while strengthening process efficiency, automation, and collaboration across Finance, Accounting, and business functions to support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact and finance partner for the lending business across all entities and branches

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial and management reporting under IFRS and GAAP

  • Provide performance analysis through key financial indicators, peer comparisons, and variance reviews against budgets and forecasts

  • Develop profitability and contribution margin reporting to monitor branch, product, and client performance in coordination with relevant teams

  • Prepare annual budgets, multi-year plans, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring consistency and reliability of financial data

  • Strengthen internal controls and processes to enhance accuracy and transparency in reporting and forecasting

  • Support senior management through financial analysis, decision papers, and assessment of professional or regulatory changes

  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements across financial reporting and control processes

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in controlling or finance inside a financial institution

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required; professional qualifications are an advantage

  • Ability to grasp complex financial matters, challenge assumptions, and present conclusions clearly and accurately

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills

  • Strong capability to build effective relationships and foster teamwork across departments

  • Proven integrity, sound judgment, and results-driven mindset

  • Professional fluency in English required; German is an asset
