The role supports the effectiveness of the organization’s IT governance and control environment by delivering independent assurance and advisory input across IT-related risks and processes. It contributes to the assessment of regulatory requirements, supports the continuous enhancement of audit approaches, and provides IT expertise within both technology-focused and broader business audits across an international group structure.
Conduct IT audits across the group, covering systems, technologies, and IT-related processes.
Deliver audit and advisory support to IT projects, gaining exposure to regulatory expectations and contributing to the ongoing development of audit methodologies.
Contribute IT-specific expertise to business audits where technology, data, or digital processes are relevant.
Responsible for the full audit lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and evaluation of control effectiveness.
Communicate audit findings clearly to management and prepare structured audit reports.
Oversee the implementation of action plans and track progress to completion.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (applied) Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
At least three years of professional experience in IT auditing, preferably within EU-regulated financial services, or in operational IT roles in a highly regulated environment.
Solid proficiency of IT standards and frameworks such as COBIT, BSI Grundschutz, CSA-CCM, ITIL, and the ISO/IEC 27000 series.
Familiarity with cloud technologies as well as experience with data analytics, automation, and/or AI, ideally in an audit or assurance context.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to quickly grasp complex topics and think beyond standard approaches.
Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, resilience under pressure, and a clear, seniority-appropriate communication style marked by integrity and assertiveness.
Fluent English, good German skills.
