The role contributes to the development and execution of operational resilience capabilities within a regional framework while addressing local regulatory and management expectations. It supports first-line resilience activities across areas such as business continuity, technology risk, digital resilience testing, ICT incident management, and third-party management. Through close collaboration with local and regional stakeholders, the position helps embed operational resilience responsibilities and supports compliance with DORA and other applicable operational resilience requirements.
Support the identification, review, and validation of Critical or Important Services at local entity level.
Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of operational resilience methodologies to address gaps and strengthen effectiveness.
Participate in horizon-scanning activities to identify emerging operational resilience risks and topics.
Assist with local business continuity processes and testing activities, including coordination with key stakeholders.
Report to different branches regarding Operational Resilience Governance issues.
Support the maintenance of local business continuity and crisis management plans.
Assist with digital operational resilience testing, including scenario development, challenge of protection requirements, and evaluation of test results.
Coordinate post-testing follow-up activities, track outstanding actions, and support preparation for subsequent testing cycles.
Contribute to monitoring and reporting of relevant local KPIs and KRIs.
Prepare presentations on the 1st LoD digital resilience status for committees and senior management and aid to related projects.
A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; relevant industry certifications are considered a plus.
Relevant experience supporting operational resilience, business continuity, IT risk, or third-party risk activities, ideally within financial services.
Knowledge and practical exposure to the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
Understanding of business continuity standards and best practices, including ISO22301, ISO/IEC 27031, and German BSI200-4.
Sound familiarity with IT systems, technologies, and service management standards such as ITIL.
Expertise with incident and crisis management practices, including communication aspects and the incident lifecycle.
Knowledge of banking operations and control environments, ideally across investment banking, capital markets, and financial regulation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholder audiences.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with solutions that are proportionate, practical, and operationally viable.
