Global universal bank with an EMEA focus, serving corporate clients across core lending and cash-management, capital markets and structured finance; ECB/SSM readiness underway.
Lead a Level-2 credit function with delegated Senior Credit Officer authority. Independently review, challenge and approve transactions in line with risk appetite while strengthening frameworks, MI and controls to support forthcoming ECB/SSM supervisory expectations. Act as primary counterpart to Front Office and develop a high-performing credit team.
Exercise delegated Senior Credit Officer authority on underwriting/net-take positions.
Level-2 review & challenge across plain-vanilla corporate lending (term loans, RCFs, guarantees) and structured finance (project, asset, acquisition, securitisation).
End-to-end FO engagement (new money, waivers/amendments, annual reviews, monitoring, grading).
Portfolio oversight incl. participation in Special Credit Reviews for problem assets and provisioning input.
Enhance policies, risk appetite implementation, MI and controls to meet supervisory readiness (ECB/SSM).
Lead, coach and develop a team of VP-level credit officers; deliver targeted credit-risk training to FO.
~12–18 years total in credit/structured-finance; 8–12 years in SF credit/risk (underwriting, portfolio, waivers).
Strong people performance management skills and proven delegated-authority/approval track record.
Strong judgment, negotiation and stakeholder management (FO, Risk, Legal, Operations).
Experience with supervisory environments (2–4 years; ECB/SSM transition/readiness a plus, incl. JST interaction, remediation of findings).
Degree in finance/economics or similar; relevant professional qualifications advantageous.
Clear English communication; performance-driven leadership style.
